Why thinking about Imposter Phenomenon actually helps

This TED Talk explains how thinking about Imposter Phenomenon actually lessens it's impact over time.

Too often, we trick ourselves into thinking that "out of sight, out of mind" is an effective way to deal with hard things at work, like feelings of Imposter Phenomenon. We're told to "fake it 'til we make it" and to never let on to the fact that we're struggling. This TED Talk by Valerie Young is powerful explanation of why this is actually a flawed strategy for dealing with Imposter Phenomenon, and how sitting in your thoughts and feelings about IP can actually help mitigate them over time.
