Today's the day! We're going to draft the third part of your Personal Career Story: where you hope to go next.
If you feel like you have a clear picture of what you want to write, feel free to start. If not, we recommend highlighting three things you hope to see in the next phase of your career:

Just as we did for the first two parts of your story, keep this section simple and to the point. Once you're feeling good, you're all set for the day. If you need more support, keep reading!
We get it. This part of Personal Career Stories are often the trickiest to put together. The key here is to remember that you don't need to have a specific answer to "where you hope to go next"; instead, focus on experiences you hope to have in the next phase of your career. Things like 'continuing to develop your skills in a specific area' or 'getting more exposure to a certain types of work' are great things to include in this paragraph. Plus, keeping things a little higher level can help make sure that you're not accidentally writing yourself out of any opportunities.
Sure thing!
"As I reflect on the things that are most important to me and what I've done in my career already, I'm hoping to find an opportunity that does two things:
I've really appreciated everything I've learned over the last few years, and I'm excited about taking my next step on the path to (hopefully!) managing my own shop sometime in the next decade."
"I'm really excited for the next chapter in my career, where I hope to put all my experiences and learning to use here in the tri-valley area. I've learned that I do my best work when I can meet and support my clients face-to-face, and I'm excited to bring the best of design from across the country to our community."
