We keep track of so many things in our lives: our to-do lists, grocery lists, or even our bucket lists. But how often do we keep track of things worth bragging about?
Today, you’re going to set a timer for 15 minutes and list three types of things that you deserve to brag about: things you’ve done well for your job/school, things you’ve done well for others, and things you’ve done well for yourself. There’s nothing too big or too small to brag about, so when in doubt, write it down!

You are not alone. The idea of bragging makes many of us feel uncomfortable, sometimes even to the point of feeling truly anxious about it. If this sounds like you, you may have some degree of Imposter Phenomenon.
What is Imposter Phenomenon, exactly? Put simply, it's an internal dialogue that tells us to doubt our intellect, skills, or accomplishments, and most people experience it to some degree throughout their lives. But there's a fundamental irony that's important to know: those who experience the biggest bouts of Imposter Phenomenon often feel it most in areas where they are actually high performers.
This TED Talk does a great job of outlining what exactly the Imposter Phenomenon is and how you can begin to combat it for yourself. There's no sure-shot cure, but as we continue to develop your Personal Career Story, you'll develop the confidence to talk about all your experiences in a way that makes it clear: you've actually got a ton to brag about.
